SAINT ROSALIE CHURCH - HAMPTON BAYS, NEW YORK
• THE PROJECT

St Rosalie’s R.C. Church is nestled along side Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays, Long Island.  The controversial Project involved the Construction of a new 15,000 S.F. Church with seating for 350 people which was to replace the smaller 100 year old cornerstone of the Parish.  Titan Realty and Construction performed as a General Contractor for the Project.  The architectural services of the Project were charged to one of the premier church designers on Long Island, LAS Associates.  Their resulting design is classical yet current. The brick exterior and stained glass windows exemplify tradition and stability.

The Nartex has large expanses of both etched and stained glass doors and walls welcoming the Parishioners into the Nave which incorporates long span structural elements to open up the 80’ by 120’ vaulted space.  The Sacristy is circular, raised and ornamented with a crown like soffit over head.  The Sacristy is back dropped by a Rose Bud stained glass window. The balance of the building houses the Chapel / Sanctuary, Children’s Room, Meeting Room, Offices, Changing Rooms and Pipe Organ.  In the Bell Tower resides the original 100 year old church bell that was restored to pristine condition.

The site was groomed into a park like setting with tasteful landscaping and walks.  The expansive off street parking lot and planted islands are bordered with Belgium block curbs lending to an estate like quality.  The Project cost totaled 4.7 million dollars and was completed in one year and was open for Christmas Eve Midnight Mass.
