HBO FACILITY - 300 NEW HIGHWAY - HAUPAUGE, NY
• THE PROJECT

Between the period 1970 and 1983 HBO telecasted its programming via satellite transmission systems located in RCA’s facilities in Vernon Valley New Jersey.  Titan’s responsibilities, through its affiliate Abcon Associates now Titan Realty & Construction, included the acquisition of property in Smithtown New York and to obtain the approvals of local government authorities to construct and to operate Home Box’s first satellite uplink facilities.  These facilities would provide HBO with an independent capacity to telecast Programming throughout the United States by way of Cable TV networks.  Upon obtaining the necessary approvals Titan personnel managed all designs, building and specialty equipment engineering, construction and costs for the development of the complete facilities.  In late September 1983 Titan delivered the completed and fully operational facilities.
